In order to work safely around Hydrogen Sulfide, you must first know what it is. H2S is a colorless gas with an odor that is often said to smell like rotten eggs. It is commonly encountered in the oil and petrochemical industry. This gas is highly dangerous. It is highly flammable, but the biggest danger comes from its toxicity. In some concentrations, it can knock you out in one breath.
